Born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY, Robert has a deep connection to his community and is committed to making a positive impact across Western New York. With over 20 years of experience in leadership, mentorship, training, and neuro-transformational coaching, he has touched countless lives by helping people develop the confidence to create the life and career they desire and deserve. Robert is a Certified Life Coach by the Coach Alliance and a Certified Neuro-Transformational Coach by Elite Success, bringing specialized expertise to his clients as they work through transformative personal and professional growth.
Before becoming a full-time entrepreneur, Robert served as the Chief Program Officer of the Boys & Girls Club, where he played a pivotal role in developing programs and services that positively impacted youth and families across WNY.
Professional ExpertiseThrough RL Experience, Robert offers transformative leadership development, business coaching, and youth empowerment programs that foster resilience, strategic thinking, and personal growth. As the creator of the Empower716 initiative, he established the Empower716 Podcast to highlight the journeys of local entrepreneurs, especially those of color, providing insights on business success and community impact. The podcast inspired the Young Entrepreneurs of Color Awards, an annual program that celebrates and supports young business leaders from underserved communities.
Community LeadershipRobert’s commitment to community extends across various roles where he leverages his leadership to create meaningful impact. He serves as Trustee Chairman of True Bethel Baptist Church, where he oversees the church’s financial and governance functions, supporting outreach and affordable housing initiatives. As Board President of Buffalo United Charter School, he provides strategic oversight and leadership, supporting initiatives that enhance educational programs, wrap-around services, and overall student success. Robert is also the Chair of the Communities of Giving Legacy Initiative (CGLI), a fund of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, focused on creating opportunities for youth of color in Western New York. Additionally, he leads economic growth efforts in his role as President of the Cheektowaga Economic Development Corporation. Robert is a founding board member of the Resource Council of WNY, an organization that provides vital programs and services to empower youth, adults, and families. He is also actively involved with the SUNY Buffalo State University Community Advisory Committee and the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens, focusing on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) initiatives. Robert is also a dedicated volunteer and supporter of the Variety Club of Buffalo - Ice Hockey Program, which introduces youth from underserved communities to the sport of hockey.
Recognition and Personal AchievementsRobert’s contributions have been widely recognized, including his honor as National Professional of the Year by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. He is also a recipient of the 2024 C-Level Executive Award from Buffalo Business First, Business First’s ‘40 under 40’, and the Buffalo Black Achievers Award.
In addition to his work at RL Experience, Robert holds a real estate license with Keller Williams of WNY and is a member of the Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Buffalo Class of 2017. He is the author of three impactful books: "Effective Mentoring: A Comprehensive Guide to Being a Better Mentor," "How Nonprofit Employees Can Unfriend Burnout," and "Introvert Leaders: Stop Hiding—The World Needs You."
